Blue Devil: A Deeper Dive into DAYKODA's Sonic Universe

With three critically acclaimed albums—All of Me (2019), PHYSIS (2021), and UNO (2023)—already shaping his distinct language, DAYKODA arrives at Blue Devil. Set for release on November 6, 2026, via Beat Machine Records, this 14-track album tightens the focus on his sonic universe. It is a deeply personal space where electronics, experimental jazz, and beat music intersect without ever deliberately chasing an overly comfortable form.

International Scope & Uncompromising Vision In recent years, Andrea Gamba’s visionary project has earned international support from tastemakers such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft, Lefto, Nubya Garcia, Laurent Garnier, and Travis Holcombe. Following high-profile live performances, including an opening slot for Thundercat at Alcatraz in Milan, DAYKODA is not summing things up with this new record. He is going deeper. Blue Devil expands the scope of the project through powerful collaborations with global artists like Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Theon Cross, Ze in the clouds, and Daedelus.

The Production: Friction, Detail, and Motion Entirely produced by DAYKODA and mixed by Rick David at Pink Bird Recording Co. in London, the album moves in perfect balance between rhythmic tension and harmonic depth. The writing approach deliberately leaves room for friction, detail, and motion. The dialogue between acoustic instruments and electronics remains central, but here it becomes even more fluid, increasingly uninterested in drawing clear lines between composition, improvisation, and studio construction.

What emerges is a dense yet mobile body of work—layered without turning cold, capable of holding together precision and instinct, weight and openness. The cracks remain visible, the interferences are not erased, and it is precisely there that the record finds its sharpest form. Blue Devil firmly establishes DAYKODA as one of the most compelling and singular presences in contemporary European music.

TMRW TALK Vol.1 (Deluxe Edition): The Crossroads of Beat Culture & Live Interplay

Beat Machine Records introduces TMRW TALK, a new visionary project bringing together Daykoda, Sup Nasa, and Matteo D’Ignazi. The trio first connected in Milan while opening for Karriem Riggins and J.Rocc at BIKO, a live encounter that became the spark for a unique collaboration built around samplers, synthesizers, and live drums.

A Fluid, Beat-Driven Energy Rooted in hip-hop but fiercely open to jazz, world music, and beat experimentation, TMRW TALK Vol.1 (Deluxe Edition) moves with a fluid energy shaped by groove, tension, and live interplay.

The Core Tracks: "pay2play" (featuring emma elle) brings a direct vocal pull, "next 2 me" leans into warmth and movement, "gaiden" opens up the trio’s exploratory side, "low-ta" strips things back into a tighter, spacious groove, while "carglass" pushes into a sharper, fractured soundscape. The Deluxe Expansion: The journey expands further with "don’t worry," layering lush atmospheric pads and steady piano melodies over a classic hip-hop bounce, before "hey people" brings the record to a close with a strong sample-driven edge and an urgent, driving rhythm.

Three Distinct Artistic Paths More than a side project, TMRW TALK acts as a real point of contact between three strong musical identities:

Sup Nasa: Drawing attention from labels such as BBE and Bruton Music, earning support from Okayplayer and Rolling Stone, and sharing stages with Black Milk, Oddisee, Elaquent, and Karriem Riggins.

Daykoda: Often associated with names like Flying Lotus, blending electronics, experimental jazz, and immersive production.

Matteo D’Ignazi: Bringing the immense depth of a live drummer who has worked with key figures from Italian rap, including Nitro, Ensi, and Tormento.

The result is a record that stays close to the pulse of beat culture while leaving ample room for jazz phrasing, live instinct, and a wider rhythmic vocabulary.

Moroccan-born producer Reda Senhaji, better known under the name Cheb Runner, presents 80K, the second installment in Beat Machine’s TERRA TEMPO series. A direct tribute to the cultural heritage of the Souss Massa Darâa region, the release reactivates ancestral rhythms and translates them into a forward-looking electronic language rooted in place, memory, and physical sound.

Drawing from traditions such as Ahwach, Gnawa, and other interconnected practices from the Souss region, the EP preserves original rhythmic skeletons while reimagining them through modern production and club-oriented structures.

Across six tracks, traditional instruments and electronic elements collide fluently, where the 808 functions as a structural force rather than an accent. From the rolling pulse of Iznagn Engines and the evocative contours of Azn Oudrar to the spiritual resonance of Gn-Awa, the B-side expands the journey with the sub-heavy Afouss Adar 808, the atmospheric Tarwan Ganga, and a reinterpreted Gn-Awa by Guedra Guedra, layered with intricate textures and low-end pressure.

Moving between bass, world, and electronic territories, 80K reflects a deliberate balance between preservation and transformation. Music that carries ancestral rhythms into new listening spaces, bridging generations, cultures, and sonic worlds within a single, cohesive experience.
